First Visit
At your first appointment, Dr. Chambers will conduct a detailed intake of your current health concerns. She will ask questions about your health history, family history, and other aspects of your health like sleep and nutrition habits. It is always important to have a complete understanding of what is going on in the body in order to develop a treatment plan that is addressing the underlying cause of your symptoms. This way, your treatment plan is personalized, targeted, and effective.
You will leave your first appointment with an initial treatment plan. This usually includes nutrition recommendations, supplements, and lifestyle support such as sleep hygiene or stress coping techniques. Dr. Chambers will always make sure you understand every aspect of your treatment plan, and that you’re comfortable with the amount that we have recommended at each visit. You’re in control of your own health, including the pace and type of treatment.
Dr. Chambers may recommend lab testing during your first visit. It is your body, and your choice as to whether or not you want to conduct any lab tests. Testing may include a Food Intolerance Test, blood work (thyroid, cortisol, vitamin levels, hormone panel), or SIBO breath testing.
If you have lab testing from another healthcare professional, please bring it with you to your first visit. Dr. Chambers can also fax a Release of Records to receive previously done lab tests and imaging studies directly from your family doctor or specialist.
