Swedish massage, known as a “classic massage”, uses five different strokes that are helpful in reducing pain: petrissage (kneading), friction (cross fiber), Tapotement (rhythmic tapping), effleurage (gliding), and vibrations. The goal of this massage is to enhance bodily functions, and promote well-being and relaxation.

Registered Massage Therapists adjust their techniques based on evaluation of their client’s health history to ensure the client receives the appropriate treatment.
